Hero?

Whether in the lights of humanity,
Or the darkness of a greater shadow,
Why should one ever try to be a hero?

Capes and crests are ever cliche'
X-ray vision, super strength, flight,
Impossible, yet a hero continues to fight
No villain stronger than life,
No doomsday just inevitable strife,

Damsels in distress?
Nuclear meltdown?
The...end...of...the...world?

WHY WOULD ONE EVER TRY TO BE A HERO?!

The world needs a hero,

You need a hero...
